Australian Uni Students Ripped Off

TheAge.com.au has reported that the Bracks Government had ripped off and misled tertiary students over its promise to reduce tertiary travel concession card costs, according to student union leaders.

Despite a pre-election commitment from Labor to bring tertiary cards into line with primary and secondary concession card charges – which cost $7.15 – the tertiary price had fallen only from $116 to $75, Daniel Perkins, the National Union of Students’ state education officer said.
