The eagerly anticipated waterpark on Yas Island enters its final phases of development with the unveiling of its official name and logo: Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi.
With its original and immersive theme which pays tribute to Emirati culture and the country’s pearl diving heritage, the iconic waterpark is set to welcome guests in the fourth quarter of 2012.
HQ Creative LLC has been engaged to deliver and manage a live Pearl Diving show at the waterworld in Abu Dhabi on an annual contract basis. To deliver this they are urgently looking for freedivers to work on a full time basis.
The team required is 1 x Master Freediver (equivalent AIDA 4 star) and 5 x Team Open Water Freedivers (equivalent AIDA 3 star or an AIDA 2 star with proven experience and ability).
They also need Masters of Ceremonies who are bilingual, and various other roles
The “daily event schedule” consists of two parts
“Pearl Diving Show”
The “show” consists of a 15 min pre-prepared and rehearsed performance to take place in the Pearl Diving Theatre and its 3m diving tank. The show is scheduled as a twice a day performance and requires a cast of five performers following a show routine which involves interacting with the audience, performing underwater tricks and stunts hosted by the MC.
“Pearl Diving Experience”
The main function of the pearl diving team is to support the retail operation of selling pearls via the retrieving of oysters from the bottom of the pearl diving tank and presenting them to paying consumers for opening by retail staff. The retrieval process forms part of a well-rehearsed performance which should reflect the character of the water park brand and encourage consumer participation. This part of the performance will continue throughout the day using a strict Rota to manage rest time and water time.
