Jim Holliday Appointed As CEO Of RAID International

Jim Holliday has been appointed as the new CEO of dive training agency RAID International, the company announced this week.

Holliday will also serve as CEO of RAID’s South Pacific Office. Additionally, he joins fellow members of the RAID International Board of Directors, including RAID Founder Barry Coleman and RAID International Training Director Paul Toomer.

In a statement announcing Holliday‘s appointment, RAID said:

Jim is no newcomer to the dive industry and is especially known in the South Pacific and Asian dive scene having owned his own chain of dive retail stores and been in the past the distributor for Sherwood, Aqualung, Suunto, Sharkskin and Neptune Wetsuits. Until recently, Jim was also the driving force behind SSI in the South Pacific and throughout Asia.

RAID International Business Director Terry Cummins said: “Jim’s contributions to the dive industry have been outstanding and have included serving on the Board of Dive Australia for many years and numerous other industry committees from the 90s, to his groundbreaking endeavours in dive equipment manufacturing, wholesaling and retailing. He is also well known globally for his work as a major equipment manufacturer’s agent and a prominent training agency personality. Jim brings an amazing and highly varied skill set to the growing RAID family. We are delighted to have Jim on board at this level and look forward to him being able to apply his many years of experience especially to assisting our RAID Retailers in their business endeavours.

Holliday isn’t RAID‘s only recent hire. The company announced in June that James Rogers had been appointed to the position of Distributor for the U.K. and Malta with responsibility for RAID business development in that region. Additionally, Mike Wells (formerly SSI’s International Training Director of Freediving) joined RAID on July 1st.
