If you’re thinking of diving in Hawaii this winter, the Big Island is offering a variety of shows and events during November and December. One I picked out in particular is the Coffee Festival, which is the 34th Festival of its kind.

Apparently, this is Hawaii oldest festival and sports a parade, coffee tasting, a gofl tournament, Lauhala weaving workshops, a festival of Artists and so many other interesting activities.

There is also the Big Island Showcase, featuring Dining In Chef Carolyn Deal’s tasty samples of Tropical Dreams Kona Coffee Ice Cream topped with chocolate ganache. The chocolate ganache is comprised of local products including Kona Brew Company’s Kaiwe Bourbon Coffee Stout, dark roasted Kona coffee from Kona Coffee & Tea Company and dark chocolate from The Original Hawaiian Chocolate Factory. Chef Cathy Barrett of Kailua Candy Company will share her luscious ‘Kona Coffee Swirls’ also using local Big Island products. Kona Coffee & Tea Company and The Original Hawaiian Chocolate Factory will also treats guest to yummy samples.

Incidentally, during the same week there is a Performance Freediving course being held on November 12-13. Take the opportunity to enhance your freediving skills while enjoy the beauty of the Big Hawaiian Island.
