Stephane Mifsud New Static World Record
Posted By Nicolas Danan on Monday Jun 8, 2009 @ 22:17 in Freediving
Stephane Mifsud did a clean 11'35" static this afternoon in his hometown swimming pool of Hyeres, France. The previous AIDA world record was held by Tom Siestas in 2008 with 10'12" minutes. Congratulations to Stephane and his team! Record is pending ratification from AIDA international.
As Stephane mentions this event is not "only a record" but rather to draw media attention on the need to better preserve our planet and our oceans. Stephane supports the Hulot Foundation, from famous French explorer/environmentalist Nicolas Hulot.
