The following recalls have been announced (Associated Press):

_ About 6,000 Oceanic and AERIS scuba regulator first stages, manufactured in the U.S. and Taiwan by ROMI Enterprises, because a component that seals air between the first and second stages can fail, resulting in uncontrolled air flow. This puts divers at risk of serious injury or death. The company has received two reports of regulators malfunctioning during dives and six reports of regulators malfunctioning while being tested by dealers. No injuries have been reported. The regulators were either sold or repaired at authorized Oceanic and AERIS retailers around the country between May 2006 and October 2007.
