Surf Survival Training Camp for Red Bull Focuses on Freediving

Maya Gabeira and Sally Fitzgibbons are world class surfers. These ladies charge the biggest waves and encounter very real life-threatening situations in oceans the world over. But even seasoned waterwomen can benefit by honing their freediving skills. Which is precisely why Red Bull organized a survival training camp with Performance Freeediving International for their professional surfing team and the coaches too. PFI’s Breath-Hold Survival program is designed specifically for surfers and other watermen/women interested in developing longer breath-holds for extreme situations with increased confidence and comfort.

Check out how the Red Bull training in Hawaii went in the video below. As you’ll see a little bit of apnea goes a long way.
