Nice, September 2 – Tanya Streeter, a top contender in the AIDA 1st Individual FreeDiving World Championships in Constant Weight, has been sidelined by what emergency physicians have diagnosed as severe influenza.
Ms. Streeter, who last week set a US record in Dynamic Apnea ( No Fins), was treated yesterday in a Nice area hospital and advised to take bedrest for at least several days. She has formally withdrawn from the AIDA competition.
