A snorkelling lagoon with coral reefs and marine life is being built at the Oqyana World First project on Nakheel’s offshore development The World.

Snorkellers will be able to swim amongst the marine life in a safe environment. The Reef Lagoon will be serviced by an adjacent scuba centre and will offer diving and boat related activities. It will be located on the Great Barrier Island, on of 22 islands that form the shape of Australia and New Zealand.

Oqyana is being built across the island and will have villas, water-homes, and apartments, plus hotels and restaurants.

The islands have been reshaped to ensure that water is continually circulated for purity and sustainability of marine life, according to the project’s CEO Dr. Wadad Al Suweyah.

The World is a group of man-made islands of the shores of Dubai. which will be a development of residential areas, marinas, restaurants and ultimate ocean lifestyle.
