The Underwater Photography Guide has announced that submissions for the 2018 Ocean Art Photo Competition are now open.
This year’s competition is the 7th and features 16 categories with a total of 75 winning images.
This year’s competition has a wide range of prizes provided by over 30 scuba diving operators, shops and liveaboards. The total prizes for this year’s competition are valued at over US$75,000/~€64,600. Some of the prizes include the following liveaboard trips:
- Palau on the Solitude One.
- A trip aboard the Pelagic Fleet.
- The Solomon Islands on the M.V. Bilikili.
- A trip on the Solomon PNG Master.
Other prizes include premium dive gear, gift certificates, and underwater camera gear provided by some of the biggest names in the industry. The winners of each category can rank the prize they want which means that prizes should match what they desire.
This year’s competition has 16 categories to suit all levels of experience, different camera setups, and interests. Categories include:
- Novice DSLR.
- 3 Compact categories.
- 3 Mirrorless categories.
- Cold/Temperate water.
- Wide Angle.
- Marine Life Portraits.
- Marine Life Behaviour.
- Underwater Art- Allowing photographers to use their post-processing skills and creativity.
If you want to take part all entries must be submitted by 23:59 PM U.S. Pacific Time on November 30th, 2018.
