AIDA 2016 Freediving World Pool Championships – Dynamic With Fins (DYN) Apnea Qualifiers

The third competition day of the AIDA 2016 Freediving World Pool Championships in Turku, Finland saw multiple men’s competitors surpass the 250-meter mark in the Dynamic With Fins (DYN) heats, and the top three women’s results exceeded 200 meters or more.

Greek competitor George Panagiotakis recorded the longest men’s swim with 255 meters/837 feet, while Polish competitor Julia Kozerska led the group in the women’s category with a 210-meter/689-foot swim.

Competition organizer Mikko Anttonen told DeeperBlue.com:

“A great day once again. The top athletes were clearly saving their strength to the finals and we are to expect big numbers there.”

Thursday is a rest day for the athletes, with the finals beginning Friday in the same order, with breath hold first.
