AIDA International has opened public nominations for the 2012 People’s Choice Awards. Previous winners have included Natalia Molchanova and William Trubridge. The awards are sponsored by Suunto.
Nominations are being accepted on FaceBook and any AIDA member can submit their favorites and then there will be a vote.
The categories open for nominations are:
- Best Male Freediver
- Best Female Freediver
- Best Male Newcomer
- Best Female Newcomer
- Best Coach
- Best AIDA Judge
- Best Safey diver
- Best AIDA Volunteer
- Best AIDA Instructor
- Best Athletic Sportsmanship
