Al Hornsby, Doug McNeese To Be Inducted Into DEMA’s Hall Of Fame

The Diving Equipment and Marketing Association announced this week it will induct author/photographer and PADI executive Al Hornsby and SSI executive Doug McNeese into the DEMA Hall of Fame.

Hornsby is PADI Worldwide’s senior vice president for legal affairs. He has been with PADI for 35 years, during which he co-originated Project AWARE, and has also served on DEMA’s board of directors and was president for six years. He has also authored and co-authored four books, including his most recent, “Face to Face: Up Close with Mother Nature,” published in 2016.

McNeese is president of Scuba Schools International. He spent 25 years in dive retail before purchasing the National Association of Scuba Diving Schools (NASDS) which subsequently merged with SSI.

The official ceremony of the awarding of the “Reaching Out Awards” to the two men will take place this coming November at DEMA Show in Orlando, Florida.
