Alessia Zecchini Sets New CWTB Freediving World Record

-

Italian freediver Alessia Zecchini set a new women’s world record this past weekend with a dive down to 107m/351ft in the Constant Weight with Bifins (CWTB) discipline.

Zecchini set the record in the waters off Moalboa, Cebu, the Philippines.

In an Instagram post, Zecchini wrote:

“Today I made THE DIVE that I’ve always dreamed of… I abandoned myself to the sea, without anxieties and worries, without thinking about the past… Enjoying and loving every moment like I never had before.

“The most beautiful dive of my life, the dive that my coach Gianfranco Concas helped me build step by step, with patience and dedication in these three years together and that today I finally realized and fully understood!”
