Video: Andrea Zuccari Sets Italian No Limits Record Of 185 Meters

Italian freediver Andrea Zuccari recently set a new national No Limits record of 185 meters/607 feet in Sharm Al Shaikh, Egypt.

According to his Facebook page, Zuccari wanted to try to reach 200 meters, but problems with equalization and nitrogen narcosis kept him from formally attaining that goal.

As part of his training in the run-up to the attempt, Zuccari was able to increase his lung capacity from 6 liters/1.5 gallons to 7.5 liters/nearly 2 gallons.

During the week of August 21st to 28th, Zuccari made the dive to 185 meters three times, and although he wanted to go deeper, “the narcosis problem was still too strong.”
