Applications For DAN Future Dive Safety Educator Now Open

-

The Divers Alert Network recently announced that it will be launching a new internship.

The new program is called the DAN Diver Safety Education Internship, and is a fully funded, 8-12 week program that will be conducted in Durham, North Carolina.

During the program, interns will work closely with leaders in the DAN training department, to gain knowledge, experience, and professional skills.

According to DAN Training Director Patty Seery:

“We established the DAN Diver Safety Education Internship because we see a need for trained educators in our industry – people who know how to develop educational programs with goals, objectives, and learning outcomes.”

Along with working with a mentor at DAN, interns will also attend the Our World Underwater Scholarship Society’s Annual Scholar Weekend on April 21-22, 2018 in New York City, where they can present and share their experiences.

To apply for the internship, you must be studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, and have completed all the relevant coursework. The deadline for submitting applications for the internship is December 31, 2017.

Find out more and apply through the Our World-Underwater Scholarship Society.
