Are divers more at risk?

“In January a report by the Annals of Internal Medicine, suggests that scuba divers have more brain lesions, caused by oxygen deprivation, than those who don’t dive.

Oh dear! What’s more, the study shows, divers with a heart defect known as “”patent foramen ovale”” — an abnormal hole in the wall between the chambers of the heart — have twice as many lesions as divers without the defect.
