Audrey Mestre' attains 170 meter training dive

In what amounts to the unheard of, Audrey Mestre’ has successfully accomplished a 170 meter (557.5 ft) no limits training dive in preperation for her upcoming no limits world record attempt in the Dominican Republic.

Deeperblue’s Paul Kotik is on location in the Dominican Republic covering this event and was witness to this extrordinay feat. As he stated in his post "…as recently as the 1950’s reputable doctors assured Bob Croft that freediving past 100 feet was simply beyond the capability of the human corpus, and that, therefore, he was not really diving past 100 feet."

Paul will be keeping us posted as Audrey prpares for her official attempt on Saturday, Oct. 12th.

The staff of Deeperblue wishes Audrey a safe and successful dive.
