Born in Tumaco, pacific coast of Colombia and raised in Santa Marta, Colombian Caribbean. Started diving at the age of 9 and freediving/spearfishing at the age of 10, all thanks to his father. Founder of Delphinus Freediving club and AIDA national freediving champion in 2004. Passionate about the ocean and its inhabitants, Carlos shares his passion with everybody around him thru freediving courses, enviromental campaigns, underwater photography and filming and anything new that may come up. Carlos is also a member of the national comission of apnea for FEDECAS, colombian chapter of CMAS, he also organizes unique Yoga+Freediving retreats in exclusive locations all around Caribbean Colombia. in August 2011 he took the instructor training course with Martin Stepanek's FII in Pompano Beach, Florida, becoming the only international certified instructor in his country. He currently teaches courses all year round in his basetown, Santa Marta.
