Blue Explorers’ Canary Islands Dive Resort To Open This May

European dive company Blue Explorers recently announced a dive-centric resort in the Canary Islands will be open for business this coming May.

The Blue Explorers Resort in Puerto de Mogan will have access to 20 dive sites with depths from 12 meters/39 feet to 30 meters/98 feet plus other sites for deep and tech diving up to 70 meters/230 feet. The sites will be reached from Taurto Bay and Puerto Mogan on one of two purpose-built rib boats, the Explorer and the Adventurer.

Resort guests will also enjoy the trappings of a fully equipped dive center and shop, plus the Reef Bar & Grill. Located in the southwest coast of the island, the resort offers 14 one- and two-bedroom apartments that feature rooms named and themed after local dive sites.

Guests can spend their days underwater visiting shipwrecks, doing night dives, or land-based excursions like jeep safaris into the volcanic landscapes famous in the Canary Islands, or sunset sailing or whale watching trips. Complimentary transport then takes guests back to the resort to enjoy a meal in the Reef Bar & Grill followed by a relaxing lounge around the pool with cocktail in hand.

Blue Explorers Founding Director Caroline Jackson says:

“This flagship resort will offer diving fans across Europe access to some of the area’s most beautiful diving locations, looked after by our experienced and dedicated team – all of whom are divers, from the chefs to the resort managers. It’s an exclusive destination in a beautiful part of the island, and we’re delighted to be launching this May.”

The Canaries offer some of the best-value dive destinations internationally and are accessible all year round.

For the environmentally-conscious divers, the company considers itself a custodian of the ocean, so plastic straws and cups are banned, and it asks guests to collect beach rubbish and waste and they only use eco-friendly and ethnically-sourced products in its resort and dive centers.

As part of the launch, Blue Explorers Resorts is offering until June 16th, 2018 two packages:

Stay, Eat & Dive Package for two people (€1,270/~US$1,557):

• 7 nights’ stay in a 1-bed apartment
• Full board, breakfast, lunch and 3-course dinner daily
• 5 days diving, boat diving (10 dives per couple)
• All equipment hire
• Daily Transport to and from dive sites
• Welcome drinks and drinks after every day diving

The resort is also offering a similar package for four people for €2,400/~US$2,943.
