For over twenty years, Blue Force has run diving liveaboard cruises in Egypt and the Maldives. Their fleet of three luxury floating hotels offers world-class amenities as it transports you to extraordinary dive destinations so you maximize your bottom time in total comfort.
Each boat is equipped with well-appointed accommodations, including spacious en suite bathrooms. The two master suites on their newest Blue Force have in-room jacuzzis (but don’t worry, there are two more jacuzzis on-deck for the other guests to use). There’s also an on-board dive shop offering equipment rentals, DPVs, and even rebreathers. The compressors are located on the separate 19 meter dive boat, and can accommodate divers with air, Nitrox, or Trimix, while the smaller dinghy can deliver divers straight to the dive site. If you want to mix it up during your surface intervals, or in the unlikely event you want to sit out a dive, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are available to keep you on the water.
Let’s talk about destinations. Their seven-day trips to the Maldives (~$2000/€1722) are great for drift dives and big pelagics like whale sharks, tiger sharks, and mantas. But if coral reefs are what you crave, the Red Sea (~$1000/€860) is purported to surpass all expectations. And if you can be patient until 2019, they’ll begin running trips to Sudan where the hammerheads roam!
Trips depart from Male in the Maldives, and Sharm El Sheikh or Hurghada for the Red Sea. If you want to extend your trip, Blue Force will be happy to help–they can arrange trips to Sri Lanka, Turkey, or Dubai from the Maldives trips. And no dive trip to Egypt would be complete without a visit to the pyramids, a couple of days in Cairo, and a side mission to Petra.
