If you’re a Casio G-SHOCK watch aficionado, the company recently unveiled a new, limited-edition color scheme for the men’s Master of G Frogman GWFD1000 series.
The GWFD1000MB-3 now features a bright turquoise shade that shines even in the darkest depths of the ocean.
Built specifically for divers, the new watch features ISO 200-meter/656-feet water resistance as well as G-SHOCK’s Triple Sensor technology that includes a depth gauge, digital compass and thermometer.
The water depth function measures down to 80 meters/262 feet in 10-centimeter/4-inch increments; the water temperature function measures in 0.1 degree Celsius increments, and the compass-bearing function, which features auto horizontal compensation, measures in one-degree increments even when tilted.
The dive mode, data memory function, and full-auto LED backlight also add to the watch’s superior functions, providing high visibility underwater.
In addition to dive-specific functions, the GWFD1000MB-3 is a pretty damn cool watch in and of itself, with Multi-Band 6 technology. A carbon insert band, sapphire crystal to prevent scratching, and a stainless steel case with diamond-like coating, ensure the watch is tough enough to withstand the harshest of diving conditions.
Each model also comes equipped with standard G-SHOCK technology of shock resistance, as well as Tough Solar power, tide/moon graphs, world time (31 time zones, 48 cities + UTC), four daily alarms and one snooze, 1/100th second stopwatch and countdown timer — all in a 53.3mm/2.1-inch case.
The GWFD1000MB-3 model will retail for US$1,000/933 Euros beginning in May 2017, but if you want it you’ll have to come to the USA to get it — New York City to be exact. It’ll be available for purchase exclusively at the G-SHOCK Store in Manhattan.
