Cayman 2006: New World and National Records

Our on location FreeDiving Editor Paul Kotik has just informed us of a set of new FreeDivin Record performances done in the presence of AIDA judges in Grand Cayman.

Martin Stepanek has set a new World Record in the Constant Weight discipline of FreeDiving by completing a dive to 106m in 3m45sec.

Mandy Rae-Cruickshank and Doc Lopez both completed new National Records – Mandy with a 80m Constant Weight dive to set a new Canadian Women’s record and Doc by completing a 51m Free Immersion dive for a US Men’s record.

THESE RECORD PERFORMANCES ARE UNOFFICIAL UNTIL RATIFIED BY AIDA.

Our congratulations go out to them all!
