Combine Sailing With Freediving Off The Greek Coast

-

Ever wanted to combine learning to freedive and sail?

Well, looks boat touring company EYsailing might have you covered.

EYsailing has partnered up with Freedive Greece to organize a summer sailing trip exploring the Ionian Sea off the Greek coast — both on the surface and beneath it.

The trip will go from July 15-22, 2017, starting from Lefkas and will visit the islands of Meganisi, Kastos, Kalamos and Ithaca before returning to Lefkas. During this trip, you’ll get the chance to learn modern freediving techniques in amazing waters, explore freediving spots without time restrictions, explore different destinations each day, as well as go hiking, check out local festivals, and the local food.

Vasilis Garoutsos will be your main freediving instructor. Garoutsos is an AIDA International-certified Master Freediving Instructor as well as an SSI Level III Freediving Instructor. He’s also a 2013 spearfishing champion.

You’ll also get the chance to learn how to sail. You’ll be traveling aboard the Lito, a 44-foot/13.4-meter Bavaria-class yacht built in 2003 and renovated in 2016. The Lito has four cabins (three double beds and one with a bunk bed) and two bathrooms with showers.

Only seven places are available, so you might want to hurry to secure your spot. Prices for the trip will run you €950/US$1,012 per person.
