DAN Enhances The Benefits Of Its Travel Insurance

You can now travel with a little more peace of mind. The Divers Alert Network has announced that it’s enhancing the benefits of its travel insurance and increasing coverage in several key areas.

The four areas to be enhanced are medical expenses, baggage protection, emergency assistance, and security benefits. Specifically:

  • Medical Expenses: The limits for treatments have been increased, and as usual they still cover scuba related injuries;
  • Baggage Protection: Coverage has been expanded and limits raised, so you can check in your dive gear without worrying about potential losses;
  • Security Benefits: Your coverage will now provide assistance to divers who need to get to an evacuation point in the case of a security evacuation; and
  • Emergency Assistance: 24/7 access to various services, including concierge, identity theft assistance, and medical worldwide travel.

The new DAN coverage is only available to U.S. residents, and also includes coverage for trip delays and missed connections, as well as baggage return and delivery.
