DAN founder Receives Honorary Degree

“Dr. Peter B. Bennett, DAN founder and CEO, has received an honorary degree from the Universit? de la Medit?rran?e Aix-Marseille II. The degree, Docteur Honoris Causa, was conferred by Universit? President Michel Laurent on Nov. 29, 2001. The degree was based on Bennett’s contribution to the field of dive medicine and dive research.

Also, at Toulon, France, the French Navy presented a symposium on dive research in Bennett’s honor.

Bennett called the honorary degree a great honor, one of the most significant of his life. “”It is always a special occasion to receive an honorary degree from a university, but to receive one from another country, for diving medical research is especially gratifying
