DEMA 2008: Introduction

Viva Las Vegas!

It’s been a three years since the diving industry and the DeeperBlue.com reporting team descended on Las Vegas for the DEMA Show and we’re very excited to be able to report from this impressive and important show for the sixth year running.

We’ll be concentrating on reporting exciting consumer news and products around freediving, scuba diving, spearfishing and the odd bit off technical diving during the course of the show that runs from 22nd October 2008 – 25th October 2008.

Our Underwater Network partners, DivePhotoGuide, Wetpixel and X-Ray Magazine will be bringing you the latest in underwater imaging news and you can check out their respective coverage on divephotoguide.com, wetpixel.com and xray-mag.com.

If you happen to be at the show then why not swing by and say hello to the DB crew on booth #1400, right next to our coverage partner DiveNewsWire.  We’ll also have the spectacular Lunocet monofin on display on our booth as well as being demo’d in the DEMA pool.

DEMA is always very exciting for both the trade and consumers.  There is so much on display at one time that it is sometimes difficult to take it all in but we’ll certainly be out there walking the floor and trying to find out as much as possible so that you, our reader, can find out the latest and greatest.

For the first year running DeeperBlue.com will also be providing informal live updates direct from the show floor and after hours via Twitter, a real-time micro-blogging service.  You be able to see the real-time feed by going to http://twitter.com/DeeperBlue.  You can find out more about what Twitter is by going to http://twitter.com/help/aboutus.

You can also see all the people micro-blogging about DEMA by following #DEMA on Twitter Search.
