Dive Rite Introduces New Spearfishing BCD

For those who like to spearfish with scuba gear, Dive Rite this week introduced a new BCD that caters to that particular crowd.

The HunterPAC BCD has configurable D-ring mounting points for carrying a spearfishing stringer or a ZooKeeper’s Lionfish Containment Unit. Additional D-rings can also be added to the BCD. It retails for US$440.

Sporting 15.8 kg (35 lbs.) of lift, the HunterPAC can support aluminum and steel tanks weighing up to 14.5 kg (32 lbs.) and has optional pockets.

The HunterPAC’s integrated Gusset Control system helps reduce the “taco” effect and make the diver more streamlined, putting buoyancy around the torso. The BCD also features a shoulder exhaust pull-dump and a waist-level exhaust valve.
