Diver swims 4 hours to safety

John Mallard, a 62 year old diver from Scotland, had to swim 4 hours to safety after being swept away in heavy seas.

A major rescue was launched with lifeboats and helicopters, but Mr Mallard managed to swim for 4 hours to shore and dial the emergency services.
