Breaking news from New York City where David Blaine has just attempted his Breath-Hold in his “Drowned Alive” 2 hour special broadcast on ABC.
He has failed to complete his attempt suffering a Black-Out at 7min 08sec. A black-out is due to lack of oxygen to the brain which causes the whole body to shut down.
Members of his support team, Performance FreeDiving International, immediately jumped in the water and helped recover David out of the water. Once clear of the water he immediately started to recover and could walk down the steps from the sphere under his own power.
Doctors are worried about long term effects of staying underwater for a week.
