Emma Farrell, author of ‘One Breath, a Reflection on Freediving’, AIDA Judge and Instructor Trainer, and founding member of the AIDA Education Commission, has announced her resignation from the position of Head of Freediving Education for DeeperBlue.com effective from the 1st September 2009.
Emma says:
“I am immensely proud of what I have achieved with DeeperBlue over the last five years. I and my team have taught thousands of people from across the world and by the end of summer 2009 will have certified through AIDA nearly 800 students.”
“As well as our formal courses I have also written and taught the famous ‘Gas Guzzler’ course for scuba divers as well as our ‘Discover Freediving Course’ and taught courses directed specifically at underwater photographers, spearfishers and surfers.”
“I have met some truly wonderful people during my time at DeeperBlue, both fellow instructors and students, and have enjoyed working through newspaper and magazine articles and television appearances to change the public perception of Freediving and encourage more people to take up the sport.”
Mrs Farrell went on further to say that after many years as Head of Freediving Education she feels ready for new challenges in life and leaving my role within DeeperBlue will allow her the time to pursue them.
DeeperBlue.com courses will continue, both at the SETT tank, Vobster Quay and private venues in the UK and abroad.
