Freediver Veljano Zanki Sets New Croatian Static Record

Croatia has a new freediving national record holder in the Static discipline.

Veljano Zanki came in first place with a new Croatian Static breath-hold record of 9 minutes, 42 seconds at the Serbian Open Freediving Championship this past weekend.

Zanki’s compatriot Boris Milosic came in second with a six-minute, two-second breath-hold, and Slovenian Robert Tasic came in third with a five-minute, 53-second breath-hold.

On the women’s side, Croatian Lada Sartori came in first place with a five-minute, 49-second breath hold. Slovenian Neza Cec came in a close second with a five-minute, 23-second breath hold, and Croatian Ivana Aljinovic took third place with a four-minute, 12-second breath hold.

Athletes from Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Israel competed in the event. Check out the full results below.
