FreeDiving Film OceanMen to be seen in the UK

The rare Bob Talbot IMAX docu-movie OceanMen is due to be shown once again in the UK as part of the Nissan Adventure Film Festival on Wednesday 12th September 2007.

Whilst not shown in the IMAX format it was originally filmed in, it is still being shown on the big screen at 50 Vue cinemas.

The other major diving film being shown is Monty Halls "Diving with Giants".

The Festival will take place between 10 and 14 September 2007 at Vue Cinemas across the country. Over five themed evenings, 50 Vue Cinemas will showcase the very best short-form and feature-length adventure films and documentaries allowing some 75,000 cinema-goers the opportunity to see leading adventurers challenge their own limits on the big screen.

The themed evenings are:

  • Monday, 10 September – Endurance Adventure
  • Tuesday, 11 September – High Altitude Adventure
  • Wednesday, 12 September – Sports Adventure
  • Thursday,13 September – Ocean Adventure
  • Friday, 14 September – Global Adventure

Films start at 8pm each evening (7pm on Tuesday, 11 September) and tickets can be purchased online at www.myvue.com, by calling 08712 240 240 in the UK, or at participating Vue Cinema box offices from 3 August. Tickets are priced at standard cinema rates.

Sponsors of the festival this year are Nissan, The Independent, Helly Hansen, Travel Alberta, Vue Cinemas and the National Geographic Channel – brands who come together in the spirit of adventure.
