Performance Freediving International (PFI) is known for breaking records, setting standards, and training people to “explore their potential” in the aquatic realm. In their latest video installment — “Defending the Vandenburg” — PFI demonstrates yet another way to have fun underwater.
But kids please do NOT try this at home! The Vandenburg sits in about 40meters of water off of the Florida Keys. As one of the world’s top freediving trainers, (with safety divers in tow,) Kirk Krack takes a few advanced freedivers (including USA’s womens’ CWT record-holder Erin Magee) on leap-frog version of Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. Several Dive Xtras Cudas make all of their expert antics possible.
Follow the latest freediving adventure on PFI’s scooter page on facebook to find out when and how you can get in the game.
This video was produced by Ren Chapman of Evolve Freediving, a North Carolina satellite of PFI. Ren filmed with a Canon HV20 in an Ikelite housing.
