Herbert Nitsch To Speak At SPEARO Extreme Sports Expo In Dubai

-

World-class freediver Herbert Nitsch will be a featured speaker at next month’s SPEARO Extreme Sports Expo in Dubai, it was announced recently.

Nitsch will be talking about his world-record freedives, his near-death experience during his June 2012 world-record attempt and his subsequent recovery.

We are excited to have Herbert visit Dubai,” Zarir Saifuddin, the editor of SPEARO Freediving Magazine and expo organizer, said, adding: “Freediving and spearfishing are already two of the most popular extreme sports and outdoor activities in the UAE. Inviting the Deepest Man on Earth for an exciting talk will definetly take the sport’s popularity to another level.”

The extreme sports expo, to be held at the Skydive Dubai Palm Island drop zone, will take place from October 9 – 11. The three-day event will treat fans of land, air and sea sports to the best international and local equipment and brands. The expo will also host demonstrations and seminars where visitors can take part in the action.

Nitsch‘s talk will take place on the 10th of October at 7pm.

The expo will have a sea pavilion, in which will be featured a “One Breath” exhibition dedicated to freediving and spearfishing.

Nitsch spoke with DeeperBlue.com about his recovery at this past March’s Blue Wild Ocean Adventure Expo in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  To view that conversation, click here.
