Herbert Nitsch to attempt to become Worlds Deepest Man

Herbert Nitsch, the Austrian Freediver, is due to start his amazing 800 ft / 244 m No Limits dives today (4th June 2012) and continue his event till 6th June 2012.

Recent issues with the international Freediving Federation AIDA International mean that no AIDA Judges will be at the event, however all indications are that Nitsch will continue his dives as planned.

Herbert is nicknamed the “Flying Fish” as he is a trained and qualified Commercial Airline pilot as well as a Multi-World Record Freediving Champion in all major freediving discplines.  In recent years he has announed a number of dives concentrating on the deep diving discipline of No Limits.

This event is the next stop in his journey to break the 1000 ft / 305 m No Limits Freediving barrier.

Herbert is sponsored by Breitling and appears in various print adverts for the manufacturer of premium watches.
