Historical Diving Society Keeps Diving’s Past Alive At DEMA Show

The Historical Diving Society had a presence at DEMA Show 2015 in Orlando this week, keeping dive industry professionals aware of the history behind our incredible pastime.

The society preserves its knowledge in the “Journal of Diving History” that is mailed out to its members.

Sid Macken, the organization’s president, says of the interaction with its members:

“It’s like getting a museum in your mailbox.”

The society also collaborates with the History of Diving Museum in Islamorada, Florida and the Ships 2 Reefs organization.

To learn more about the Historical Diving Society or if you would like to learn more and become involved with keeping this important history alive, check out the organization’s website at www.hds.org.
