Could Hurricane Hermine Have Been The Cause Of Spinner Dolphins Being Stranded Near Key Largo, Florida?

The recent Hurricane Hermine that made landfall off the U.S. state of Florida earlier this month could have been the reason why at least five spinner dolphins wound up being rescued near Key Largo a couple weeks ago.

Rescuers found four dolphins stranded near Islamorada and another one was found near Matecumbe Key, according to a local TV news station.

All five marine mammals were dehydrated and treated at two separate facilities.

The local TV station also reported that more dolphins could have been stranded in the same region.
