A scuba diver was bitten on the elbow by a shark believed to be a 3.5m Great White at City Beach, in Perth, Western Australia. The injuries are not considered serious.
The incident occured whilst the man was spearfishing with friends. At least one of his group had a Shark Shield, an electronic shark repellant.
The incident comes just a week after a Brisbane woman died as a result of shark attack in Queensland.
