Never Freedive Alone

This week we’ve heard the sad story of the missing California woman who was Freediving alone near Los Angeles, USA.

Although new reports raise suspicion that foul play is involved, such a high profile case (it hit US National and International press) highlights the dangers of Freediving alone.

All books, manuals and courses always teach students never to freedive or spearfish alone.  Should anything go wrong whilst holding your breath having a buddy there can help save your life.  Even world champion freedivers like Fred Buyle launch websites to help spread the message.

Remembering the golden rules of Never Freedive Alone and Always Freedive with a Buddy will help you have more enjoyment in the water and continue diving for a long time to come!
