New ‘Divebase’ App Aims To Be The Ultimate Dive Companion

Divebase is an app that aims to become the ultimate diving companion.

By amassing and collating information about dive operators and dive sites from around the world, Divebase — available for iPhone and Android phones — aims to stay current and improve by having users update and review the data on a regular basis.

Its ultimate goal is to document every dive site, dive shop, dive club, and liveaboard on earth.  So far the app holds data on the following:

  • 20,000 dive sites
  • 10,000 dive operators
  • Located at over 2,500 locations across 170 countries

Along with being the ultimate resource for divers, the company hopes that the broad scope of data they gather will help conservation and environmental organisations to have a better picture of the condition of our oceans and marine life.
