AIDA Japan/JAS held their 5th Freediving Indoor Cup in Tateyama this past weekend, May 23rd and 24th. It was a busy 2-day event that saw a total of 41 athletes perform.
Two new national records were set: Junko Kitahama set a new record DNF 130m; beating her own previous record of 116m.
And Misuzu Hirai set a new Japanese record in Dynamic with Fin, 161m. Misuzu gained 2m upon the previous record set by Megumi Matsumoto.
The overall champions of the competition were Hanako Hirose for the women, and Katsuya Hamazaki for the men. Click here for more information in Japanese.
