New Prospective Diver's Book Released

Love to dive and know someone who might want to get into it too?

There’s a new book out called “Scuba Fundamental: Start Diving the Right Way” that’s specifically meant for people who do not yet dive but are thinking of learning.

The 202-page book, written by Simon Pridmore, takes prospective divers from the germ of the idea that they might like to try scuba diving up to the point where they have done around 20 dives.

Of course, the early phase of getting into diving is always a crucial one, in that if the diver is properly prepared and has done enough research, this hobby can turn into a lifetime source of joy.

The book’s aim is to guide new divers along the right path and helping them make all the right decisions and avoid the many pitfalls that lie in wait for the unwary.

Pridmore is the author of “Scuba Confidential: An Insider’s Guide to Becoming a Better Diver” and “Scuba Professional: Insights into Sport Diver Training and Operations.” He has worked as a guide, divemaster, dive instructor and instructor trainer. He has organized dive tours all over the world, written articles for a host of dive magazines and spoken at conferences on four continents. Pridmore now lives, writes and dives in Bali, Indonesia.

The book is available for purchase in print or digital form on Amazon.

DeeperBlue.com will be doing a formal review of the book soon, so stay tuned for that.

  • Not to be overly critical but that front cover picture screams over tasking, not the best precedent to set for newbies. Just a thought.
