SeaLife has introduced a new Super Macro Lens to their range of camera accessories.
The new lens which has a 52-mm mount, will be able to bring the shooting distance of SeaLife’s DC2000 camera down to 3.8cm/1.5in. The increased range of shooting distance should enable divers to start capturing more macro subjects than before.
The new lens will not only fit SeaLife cameras, but will also fit any camera with a 52-mm thread mount.
Along with the lens, SeaLife are introducing a 52-mm to 67-mm step up ring which will increase the number of aftermarket lenses and filters that lens users can use with it.
According to SeaLife’s VP and lead product developer Bjorn Harms:
“With the addition of the thread-mount adapter and our new Super Macro Lens, the creative range of the DC2000 and other SeaLife DC Series cameras will be greatly enhanced.”
The new lens is expected to hit the shelves by mid-September, and will retail for US$129.50/110 Euros for the lens and the thread adapter. The step ring will be on sale for $29.95/26 Euros, while the SeaLife DC threaded adapter will be available at $39.95/34 Euros.
