New Version Of Freediver Recovery Vest Launched

A new version of the Freediver Recovery Vest (FRV) has been announced by creator Terry Maas.  The new model, “Generation-3 Streamlined”, uses a new actuator unit developed initially for the US Navy SEALS that is lighter than the previous Mk2 version.  It uses a large cylinder that provides 18 pounds of flotation at 155ft / 47m.

The FRV is approved by the TSA for air travel in both carry-on and checked baggage, features a simple “set it and forget it” depth or time limit and is neutrally buoyant.

The new model is available now for $1,300 USD – For more information please visit the Oceanic Safety Systems website.
