Ocean Partnership Office Contract Awarded

-

Integrated Systems Solutions, Inc. has been awarded a contract for the National Oceanographic Partnership Program Office.

Under the contract, ISS will establish the office to support the operations of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Office of Naval Research in their roles as co-chairs of the National Oceanographic Partnership Program (NOPP) Federal Interagency Working Group (IWG).

The NOPP’s main goal is to improve the ocean’s knowledge to protect national security, economic development and stakeholders’ quality of life. The NOPP aims to achieve this by facilitating and improving communication between various ocean science sectors.

According to NOAA Ocean Exploration Director Jeremy Weirich:

“This new contract award is outstanding news for NOPP. The NOPP Program Office will play a critical role in advancing ocean science research and education by helping the federal ocean programs continue to leverage resources and invest in priorities that fall between agency missions or that are too large for any single agency to support. As a federal leader in the ocean community, NOAA Ocean Exploration looks forward to working with ISS, ONR, and all our NOPP partners to implement the strategic vision for the newly established program office.”
