Oceanic Offers Online Dive Locker

For decades scuba divers have frequently logged their dives as a way to recall their underwater experiences and document their diving expertise. Several years ago, Oceanic developed a way for divers to "log" their dives online, through the Oceanic Worldwide website.

But the Oceanic "Dive Locker" concept is more than just a way for divers to log their dives, much more. Oceanic has created a way for divers to log onto the system and store not only their dives, but also record their equipment, warranty information, insurance details, private notes and other items that need to be recorded.

Designed with a "double fail-safe" secure system, divers can have round-the-clock access to their personal dive locker information anywhere in the world. According to Doug Krause, Oceanic’s Manager of Product Development, "Divers on a dive trip might need instant access to insurance information, certification history, or even product warranty details. The Dive Locker provides a way to store private information while maintaining instant internet access."

Krause said the Dive Locker was a FREE feature for any diver regardless of certification level, agency or brand of dive equipment. For a limited time and to encourage more people to sign up and maintain a "Dive Locker" through www.OceanicWorldwide.com, Oceanic is offering the opportunity to win free equipment and prizes. This month’s (March) prize is Oceanic’s innovative Lite Vision Mask and Pocket Snorkel. All monthly winners are automatically entered to win an ATOM Wristwatch Personal Dive Computer to be given away December 31, 2004.
