PADI Announces Its 2003-2004 Insurance Program

In recent years, rising insurance costs have created financial hardships for many scuba diving professionals. No rate increases and added benefits make PADI professional liability insurance for 2003-2004 the most attractive in the industry.

This week PADI announced its new 2003-2004 PADI endorsed professional liability insurance program. The new insurance plan is offered through Vicencia and Buckley Insurance Services, a company that has been a PADI provider for over 19 years.

Under the new plan price reductions are offered on liability insurance for Divemasters, Assistant Instructors and Instructors who obtain their insurance through their PADI Dive Center or Resort. Also included at no additional cost is teaching coverage for technical diving.

Savings are available for PADI Dive Centers and Resorts by offering plans with a variety of general liability limits. This allows each Dive Center/resort to select a plan that is custom tailored to the size of their business. Several coverage options are offered as add-ons to meet the special needs of every dive operation.

PADI is the only scuba diver training agency with a 24-hour incident report hotline and a team of risk management professionals. PADI and Vicencia & Buckley offer service and support that is unsurpassed in the industry.

PADI is the world’s largest recreational diving membership organization. The membership includes dive businesses, resort facilities, academic institutions, instructor trainers, dive educators, divers, snorkelers and other watersports enthusiasts. Professional PADI Members (dive centers, resorts, educational facilities, instructors, assistant instructors and divemasters) teach the vast majority of the world’s recreational divers, issuing over 100,000 certifications each year. PADI Professionals make underwater exploration and adventure accessible to the public while maintaining the highest industry standards for dive training, safety and customer service.
