PADI Offers Freediver Courses at DEMA

-

PADI is offering access to some of its innovative freediver programs at the 2016 DEMA Show, including the Basic Freediver Course for PADI Members who want to learn more about the PADI Freediver program, and the PADI Freediving Instructor Orientation for freediver instructors from other training organizations who may want to cross over to become PADI Freediver Instructors.

Drew Richardson, President, and CEO of PADI Worldwide had this to say:

“PADI Freedivers love the experience of gliding through a silent underwater realm with minimal equipment and often feel even more a part of the aquatic environment than when they scuba dive, but more relevant to PADI members is the ability to introduce the joy of freediving to a new generation of consumers, many of whom represent a younger demographic. This has the added benefit of bringing new customers and new revenue streams to PADI Dive Centers and Resorts and PADI Professionals, too.”

PADI Members interested in learning more about the PADI Freediver program are welcome to participate in the PADI Basic Freediver Course on Saturday, 19 November – 7:30 am – 12:00 PM at the Las Vegas Municipal Pool. This half-day event covers the knowledge development and confined water portions of the PADI Freediver course, and successful completion results in certification as a PADI Basic Freediver.  At a later date, enrollees can complete the two open water sessions to become certified as PADI Freedivers. The program fee is $199 US and registration include the PADI Freediver Touch™ digital course manual, the confined water session and certification as a PADI Basic Freediver.

Those professionals interested in attending should register no later than Thursday, 3 November, to receive the Touch code so you can complete the independent study in time for the confined water session.  To register for the program, contact Eric Albinsson at 800 729 7234 (US and Canada only), or +1 949 858 7234, ext. 4012.
