Performance FreeDiving International (PFI) have announced a lecture by Dr. Peter Lindholm.
Peter Lindholm is currently on a 1-year fellowship from the Office of Naval Research, USA, working with research in physiology and hyperbaric medicine in Buffalo. In Sweden he is a scientist with the Swedish Research Defense Agency working at Karolinska Institutet with naval medicine and physiology research.
Peter Lindholm received his MD and PhD at Karolinska Institutet where he studied the physiology of hypoxia in humans during apnea. He is also interested the pulmonary effects of competitive breath-hold diving.
He has personal experience in regular diving (military service as mine clearance diver) as well as competitive breath-hold diving. He is also a physician for the Swedish national team in apnea.
